My son started coming home with non-fiction books from the library this year. Together we have learned about amphibians, orca whales, giant rodents, anacondas, dinosaurs, prehistoric ocean creatures, to name a few. I love his curiosity and fascination with the natural world. While I too am fascinated with these things and love learning, I've always gravitated toward fiction. Currently historical fiction is my jam, but it all began with fairy tales. I've always been an escapist.
